Give Your Code A Fresh Look!
Republication is the process of taking your Code, along with all of your general and permanent legislation, adding in the ordinances and reprinting the Code. Unlike a Recodification, where Municode performs a complete Legal Review of the Code and republishes the Code for adoption, a Republication does not contain a Legal Review.
While most new clients choose to Republish their existing code with us before beginning to supplement, Municode can work with your current Code using the existing style to produce new supplements. Municode will work for you.
Editing
With a Republication, Municode edits the Code to include ordinances and republishes all of the chapters. The Code is re-issued and the updates start over with Supplement No. 1. You can change format, page size and font to have a more current style.
MCC adds:
- A chapter table of contents at the front of each chapter
- Incorporation of legislation into the existing Code
- Catch lines preceding each section which describe the subject of the section
- History notes, where possible, at the end of each section giving the ordinance number from which the section is derived
- State law references, which cite the applicable state
- Complete subject matter index
- Page formatting, numbering, graphics and tables
Updating the New Code
Once the Code is republished, Municode will provide supplements or electronic updates to the Code as additional legislation is passed. (Click here to learn more about our supplement service).
