Whether you need an editable version of the code, a printable version that matches the hardcopy version of the code, or a version to integrate with one of your information system, Municode has the right format for you.

  Municode Desktop

  Municode Desktop is a portable, disconnected version of our online search engine. Users will experience the exact same look, feel, and feature set as they would with any code hosted in our online library. Features include:

  • Full boolean search.
  • Narrow your search scope within the table of contents.
  • Print any portion of the code.
  • Save any any portion of the code as an editable Word document.

  Many of our customers find this version useful when disconnected from the Internet, or when access to the code is needed over slow connections. Municode Desktop can be installed on a single workstation. A network install is possible by simply publishing the Municode Desktop URL throughout your network. The learning curve is minimal, since the interface mimics the hosted version of the code.

  Municode RTF

  Municode RTF is a simple RTF (Rich Text Format) version of a code. The code is delivered as multiple RTF files (typically divided into a Chapter or Title arrangement), and is most frequently used for drafting new legislation. The RTF file is fully searchable, and can be opened in any standard Word processor. Images are embedded in the file. Please note: This format does not match the printed style of the code, though the content is perfectly accurate.

  Municode PDF

  Eliminate the need for printed copies of the code or supplements by ordering the PDF of the code. We provide the PDF as updated through the latest supplement or we can provide just the supplement for your printing needs. Although the PDF is not searchable in all cases, it does match the printed code for style, page numbers and formatting. This is a valuable product for archiving copies of the code as you publish supplements. In most cases, you will be able to extract text from the PDF. If you desire an electronic version of the code for drafting of amendments, please consider our Municode Desktop or Municode RTF versions of the code.

  Municode HTML

  For customers that wish to host their code on their own servers, Municode HTML is the same HTML format we deliver via our search engine. Municode can deliver this HTML version as updated through the last supplement. All formatting will exactly match our hosted version.

  Municode XML

  Municode can deliver our XML format to facilitate integration of the municipal code with other related systems or content. Municode XML is well formed and will be delivered as one XML file with the associated images.
