Collapsible Table of Contents
The left-hand table of contents can be expanded and contracted to show as much or as little as needed. Users have the ability to hide the table of content for more screen real estate. Clicking on a node within the table of contents pulls up that content in the right hand viewing area.
Advanced Search
Search is by far one of the most important features in your online code. Users can easily conduct basic keyword searches using the persistent search box at the top of the site. For more advanced search, enter boolean logic operators into the search box and use the table of contents to narrow your search scope. Search examples and helpful hints are available by clicking the “search tips” link.
Print, Save, & Email
Did you know that you can print, save, or email any document from an online code? Simply navigate to the desired document and click “Print” from the toolbar to print an entire document or selection portions. Need an editable copy of a document? Click “Save” to generate an editable Word document. “Email” allows you to email that Word document directly from the search application.
Cross Reference Linking
To improve navigation, your users will find all hyperlinked cross references to locations within a code. When a user hovers over a cross reference link, he or she will be presented with a pop-up preview of the destination.
Mobile Site
Municode provides a mobile version of our search engine for all online codes that we host. Simply navigate to our site in the mobile browser of your choice and you’ll be presented with a mobile version of our site. The mobile site preserves all the features of the standard site and works with all major mobile browsers and operating systems, including iOS, Android, Blackberry OS, and WP7.
Bookmarking
Need to link to a particular section within a code hosted by Municode? Simply click the permalink icon next to any section heading to copy the URL to your clipboard.
