MCC has established Mail List Services for Municipal Attorneys and Municipal Clerks.
If you are unfamiliar with a ListServ, it is a creative use of e-mail, which provides a means for a group of people, with a common interest, to share information.
The real value of a ListServ is the ability it gives an individual to communicate with an entire group with a single e-mail. A response to messages on the ListServ can be answered by sending it to all members on the list, or when it may be more appropriately answered privately, a reply can be sent exclusively to the original sender.
Uses of the ListServ may include fielding requests for sample ordinances or serving as a platform for debate among municipal attorneys on topics of current interest.
The ListServs operated by MCC do not allow attachments, however an FTP site has been provided for members who need to share files.
